OUR APPROACH
The Challenge
Sarasota is filled with beautiful places, iconic landmarks, and distinctive coastal character. Yet so much of the merchandise celebrating the area feels predictable and mass-produced. The opportunity was to create something different—a collection that captures the spirit of Sarasota through original artwork and thoughtful design, with the elevated aesthetic of a boutique lifestyle brand.
The Strategic Shift
Move beyond traditional destination souvenirs and create a cohesive lifestyle collection that people would want to use, wear, display, and gift—not simply because it says Sarasota, but because they genuinely love the design. Rather than treating each product as an individual souvenir, the vision was to build a recognizable visual identity that could extend across an entire collection.
The Solution
A signature illustration style inspired by Sarasota's natural beauty, architecture, wildlife, and coastal landmarks. Hand-drawn artwork, expressive typography, and a soft lilac palette create a distinctive visual language that feels both playful and sophisticated. From tote bags and drinkware to textiles and accessories, the illustrations are thoughtfully adapted across different products, creating a collection that feels cohesive, collectible, and unmistakably Sarasota.

Where Every Detail Tells a Story.

It starts with noticing.
A texture on a building, a small detail, A famifiar landmark. A tropical flower. The movement of a wave. The unexpected beauty in something most people walk right past.
Each illustration begins as a photo of the things I notice, the things I love, then it becomes a drawing before becoming part of a larger composition. Scale, spacing, typography, and pattern are carefully considered to create artwork that feels spontanoues yet intentional.
The same visual language can be reimagined across different materials, shapes, and
products-giving each piece its own personallty wrile keeping the collection
unmistakably connected.
